The Enemy Within
EVALUATION
We are interested in evaluating how well The Enemy Within informs players about the nature of cancer. To do this, we need your help.
We would like players to take part in a 1-month study that can take place entirely online and in your own time. The minimum time investment over the course of the month is expected to be 1-hour, most of which will involve playing the game.
If you are interested, please read the information below before starting the study using the links in the PARTICIPATE box to the right.
ABOUT
The Enemy Within is an educational strategy game designed to inform teenagers about the genesis, evolution and progression of cancer. The player tries to control the spread of mutant cells and, in doing so, experiences exactly why the mutational burden from various risk factors is so bad.
This project is a collaboration between Dr Adrian Saurin of University of Dundee and Dr Robin Sloan of Abertay University. The project has received support from Scottish Crucible, the Nine Trades of Dundee, and the Wellcome Trust.
